This book left me in turmoil.

I’m torn between calling it a masterpiece and asking, "Why would anyone put readers through this much pain?"

Releasing 10 isn’t just a book—it’s a full-blown experience. Harrowing, raw, gut-wrenching. There were scenes that made me feel physically sick, and honestly, I wasn’t sure I could even finish it. But then came the pull for redemption. Not just any redemption—revenge-fuelled, deep-rooted justice.

Lizzy Young… I owe this girl a huge apology. She’s been this grumpy, prickly side character in the background for so long, and now? I’ve never misjudged someone so much. Her story cracked something open in me. I can’t wait to see her arc fully unfold.

And Hughie!! My absolute favourite Tommen boyfriend—hands down. That kind of loyalty, softness, and quiet strength. Everyone deserves a Hughie in their life. He’s the definition of a keeper.

Fair warning: this book is heavy. Please check the trigger warnings. You really do need to have read the previous books to understand the emotional weight and world these characters live in.

A few things that didn’t sit right with me:
- The age. The 🌶️ was way too intense for how young they are—it felt uncomfortable at times.
- I understand the themes around mental health are part of the point, but some scenes were overly graphic and detailed, especially toward the end.

Still… I’ll be thinking about this one for a long time. Broken, but beautifully done. It's a 4.5 ⭐ from me!! 💔💔💔💔

My least favourite out of the series so far but still good and extremely emotionally devastating
