I liked Wicked Ties. I thought the characters were interesting, the plot was interesting, and I could make myself go along with how the story unfolded. I even thought Deke was a good character in that book. Decadent, on the other hand, has horrible writing, the plot is ridiculous, and the entire book is borderline comical. Deke is getting on my last freggin nerve, and his "deep dark secret" is just plain asinine. On top of the stupid secret that has tormented his life, his reaction and thinking-process about it are... I can't even come up with a better word than "stupid." It makes you want to just say,"Really, dude? You have to be one of the dumbest people to ever live, if the reason you do the menage thing with your cousin is to prevent what occurred in your past." I can't write much more or it'll give away "the big secret" but... It's just stupid. There are simple ways to avoid what happened to him when he was young.

I simply can't finish this book...

I liked this one way better than Wicked Ties.
It's fairly usual for the heroes to have big bad secrets who keeps them from pursuing the heroine, and Deke was no exception. In this case, the secret was a bad one and yet something that should have been overcome in 12 years especially if, like he says, he went to multiple therapists. I can't believe not one of them managed to make him understand that it wasn't his fault.
And another flaw is just at the start when the heroine explains her plan to the heroes "yes, I want you two to tutor me in the art of menage so I can go off and enter a menage with another guy. Oh, and you can't take my virginity while you're tutoring me."
Excuse me? You want a guy and you willingly go and share something so intimate as sex with not one but TWO guys? One of which is a complete stranger to you and the other someone you thought couldn't stand you? Uh, what?
Anyway.

What I really liked in this book is that it was a menage for most part, but in the end the heroine chose one of the heroes and went into a relationship with him abandoning the menage. It's not something that I see happening often in these type of books, usually the heroine falls for the two heroes and they live happily ever after.
Instead, Kimber acknowledged the explosive sexual connection to both of them, but gave her heart just to one. And the other was left high and dry, with his own terrible secret (which is revealed by the end) to live with.
Now I'm curious about Luc, what will happen with Alyssa?

Oh, and I'm not one to comment on these type of things usually, but damn, the sex scenes in this book are HOT.
