These are all such similar books in this series… however… the story of this one was fun and interesting but I miss the drama between Morelli and Stephanie. Even her relationship with Ranger is weak…
(Ebook) Always a good palet cleanser between more serious books. Although most can be read stand alone- this one’s story is very much linked to previous book- so read that one first
When Stephanie’s beloved Grandma Mazur’s new husband died on their wedding night, the only thing he left her was a beat-up old easy chair…and the keys to a life-changing fortune.
But as Stephanie and Grandma Mazur search for Jimmy Rosolli’s treasure, they discover that they’re not the only ones on the hunt. Two dangerous enemies from the past stand in their way—along with a new adversary who’s even more formidable: Gabriela Rose, a dark-eyed beauty from Little Havana with a taste for designer clothes. She’s also a soldier of fortune, a gourmet cook, an expert in firearms and mixed martial arts—and someone who’s about to give Stephanie a real run for her money.
A fairly formulaic Stephanie Plum book, some amusing moments but a lot of the 'same old, same old'.

This read like it is the last Stephanie Plum book, and that may be a good thing. This was a fun character, fun series, fun cast. That never grew up. This was good, and I will read more if they are written, but I think it is done.
Crazy book. I am definitely intrigued by the addition of Gabriela Rose...... we will see what she will do in next book.

Meh. Nothing special here. The Gabriel character has promise.
This book is just old incidents that have happened in previous books with very few twists in the current plot. Even her relationship with Morelli and Ranger hasn’t changed.
Explosions, food fights, Stephanie crying about how her life is (still) a mess, and a new sad puppy (male human) following her around. I’ve loved this series since I picked up One for the Money 15 years ago, but I am ready for it to end.
This novel does move fast, but it doesn’t have a lot of depth to it. Very surface storytelling.

I’ve read/listened to all 27 of these. Love the characters, 3.5.
