First off let me start off by saying that if you were one of the readers that felt like these stories were at a stand-still, let me tell you that you need to pick up this book.
In Fortune and Glory, Janet Evanovich finally got us readers out of our funk. She introduced new characters and added some zing to the brewing love interest side of it - sadly, no decisions yet. However, this book felt like it was nearing the end... and with the introduction of the new character, I think things are going to change.

If you've started it and like me were a little put off in the beginning, persevere... it will get better. I look forward to reading your thoughts. Do you think the Stephanie Plum series will end soon? Answer in the comments.

It's great to see Stephanie and gang again. Potts is hilarious! Gabriela is and interesting addition. I see a spin off in her future.

Fortune and Glory was entertaining. Stephanie is still going back and forth with Ranger and Morelli. I liked the story.

I'm pretty disappointed in this book. Does she finally choose between Morelli and Ranger....? Nope. She doesn't. I was really looking forward to that, because I've been wondering for ages if she ever will. I'm honestly annoyed since it's right in the blurb that she might be forced to choose, and it doesn't happen.

After 27 of books that all feel pretty much the same, I was hoping for something more climactic, but this isn't it. All the same Stephanie Plum tropes are included. It's nothing new or exciting.

I absolutely adore the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum series for the humor along with the mystery. There is always something to put a smile on my face while sitting on the edge of my seat. And a mystery with Grandma Mazur at the center of it makes it even more entertaining. When Grandma ran off to get married her HEA didn't last very long since her husband dropped dead before the honeymoon was over. As a semi-retired mobster her now deceased husband still had the keys to a shared treasure except Grandma has no idea where those keys are or what the treasure is worth. That does not stop the other mobsters, or his previous ex-wives, from tracking down Grandma in an attempt to find the treasure. Stephanie and Grandma track down the clues to find the treasure first with as much talent and tack that Stephanie handles every situation (which is none). If you want something light and more than a few laughs this is always a great series to pick up. Fun read!!

Ah Stephanie Plum #27! This one has Grandma Mazur and Stephanie mixed up with the Lazy-Boy mob still. Hi-jinks ensue!

I think the fact that it took me over a year to read this should have told me I am getting a little tired of Stephanie Plum.
