I think Stephanie was really strong in this one. We didn't get as much Lula or their witty banter, but people have complained about the "same tired jokes" in the last few books, so...
I thought we were getting some new traction on her relationship front, but I don't know...
I hope this wasn't the last book, because I would hate for it to be that way and a leapfrog for the Gabriella series. Stephanie deserves better, since she's the character that put Janet Evanovich on the map. And there wasn't any resolution on the two most unresolved issues of her life.
But I enjoyed the story and Stephanie. So, bravo for that.

This one circled too much for me. Stephanie literally drives around in circles! I liked new character Potts, who has a lot of anxieties and allergies and makes a good partner for Stephanie, but I missed Lula. New character Gabriela adds nothing to the story. There are a couple of fun explosions.
Always 5 stars for a Stephanie plum for me! These characters are family to me and always a comforting and joyful way to spend reading time

I love Stephanie Plum books. This one was really good and made me laugh quite a few times. Looking forward to the next one.
Stephanie Plum is back at it, trying to find the treasure that her grandmother thinks is partly hers because her Mobster second husband died, and he owned 1/6 of it. However, the other Monsters aren’t having any part of sharing and just a want Grandma Mazur and her clues.
This book introduced Gabriela Rose, who is getting her own series. I read the first part of her next book at the end of this one, and I’m not impressed. It reads like the other series that JE has done with co-writers, and I just don’t like those as much. I hope she keeps with the Plum books, because those are my favorites.

This one really picked things up again. Finally some Ranger! Lots of good Lula, Grandma and Connie too.

really enjoyed fortune and glory! the characters were as fun as ever—loved the moments with morelli, ranger, and even diesel, who added some silly fun. evanovich keeps the humor sharp and the chaos entertaining.
that said, i didn’t love that the storyline continued from the last book. the la-z-boy plot felt a bit dragged out, and i was ready for a new villain and fresh mystery. still, it was a great read overall—fun, fast-paced, and full of laughs! 4.25 stars.
Typical stef story. Cars get blown up and some buildings too this time, still an inept bounty hunter and anti Joe, pro Ranger this time.
The best part was grandma was upgraded from a cameo appearance to a minor character. Stef is questioning all her life choices and not sure what direction to work on for her future.
This book picks up from the last book as people still believe grandma knows the locations of the keys and can lead them to the treasure her late husband had hidden.
IF you are a faithful reader of this series, you will enjoy catching up with Stef and her colorful group of friends and know some moments are required for this series. If you new to this world you need to go back to book one, to fully understand and even excuse Stef for some of her behavior

The first book in this two parter was just a little better than a 3 for me, but this one was a bit more fun somehow - I got a kick out out of the FTA whose name I have already forgotten, but he thought it was his calling to protect Stephanie.
