Ugh, this book. So not what I expected. Never having read a royal biography, I was looking forward to this one that I pre-ordered. I like a good biography but this one disappointed.

I'm not sure who the intended audience was for this book but its lacklustre writing really bogged down the story so much so that I had to skim parts of it just to get to the end. So much of the time, the story read like a teenage journal outlying so much minutiae that are inconsequential - I rolled my eyes so hard I worried I'd not get them back to centre. No worries though, I'm ok!

I love Meghan Markle so much and I was buzzing to read this book.

But every piece of information in this book is public knowledge. Nothing is new or groundbreaking. It's just a collection of news stories from the past few years. If you've been keeping up with the royals then you already know everything in this.

Not worth the read...

curiosity won out

Very fun to read for fans of the royals (especially if you are sympathetic towards the Sussex family) but the writing itself is very simplistic and simpering. Recommend if this is what you're looking for, but casual readers won't enjoy it as much.

Whether or not all the information in this book is completely accurate, I still thoroughly enjoyed the style of showing the story of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. I went into this book not knowing much about this couple, so I’m not sure if some of the information would be repeating stuff already out there in the public through news outlets. Know that beforehand! Not a lot of gossip was included in the book but there was examples of showing the behind the scenes of some big events such as their wedding.

Okay, so I am giving this book a 3 because it wasn't a DNF. It is very poorly written. My 10 year old daughter could write a better book, given the exact same source material. It reads like 354 pages of Star magazine. Now was I entertained, yes, but partially because I was cringe reading at how badly it was written. It is basically the Emily in Paris of books. Harry and Meghan deserved better than this book.

I enjoyed the matter of fact reporting of both sides of this story. The context and specific examples of certain events, it is clear that Harry & Meghan made the right choice in leaving "The Firm" as with every explanation on why they wouldn't support the couple it was obvious that they just didn't want to.

Could the transition could've been smoother? Probably but at the end of the day I see a couple that was left unprotected and a family that cares more about ranking then do about people, no wonder they call the British Royal Family , "The Firm".

My respects to Harry & Meghan, can't wait to see how they change the world
