Decent ending to the trilogy--not too mushy or optimistic, yet allows for Anya to grow more reasonable and less obstinate.

I'm happy with this ending to Anya's story. Good tying up loose ends and seeing Anya mature and become a better, more lovable person.

It is so hard to find a nice conclusion to a book series and I think this one hit all of the right flavors.

This is quite different from the previews series - the writing style, the flow of story and character development. This third installment felt like a condensed novel. It had the flow of novels like Daniel Steel's Jewels and Barbara Taylor Bradford's Woman of Substance.

I love the series although, plot wise it was very plain. I was afraid of not liking this book because I find the first few chapters to be easy. I was afraid the author would make Anya Balanchine's life easy and all success. Although this book made Anya's life look easy compared to the first two.

-- spoiler alert --
What I did not like is how the author had this single minded idea that there is only one person for Anya to love. So many great men she met and she just stuck to one because she did not feel the great love she felt with Wil? In my opinion, you should never expect the same love from different people.

Cheers,Ja9

This wasn't quite the ending I had been expecting...and I'm not sure it's the ending Zevin originally planned to write...but I love Anya and the rest of the characters so much that it was a pleasure to return to spend time with them.

A beautiful ending to this series.

I think too much time has passed for me since reading the first two books in the trilogy. I liked the first two... but after reading a couple of chapters of this one, I realized I just didn't care that much any more.

I enjoyed this book better than the second one in the series, though some anticipated events never came to fruition. Chances for action were passed up upon and in some cases, I wish they weren't. However, we got the sweeter side of the story and I am grateful for that. This series never once dissolved into the epic mobster story I was imagining, though that is both good and bad, I suppose. Overall, this series was enjoyable and I would definitely read it again.
