As I revisited the world of Amari and the Night Brothers, I was drawn back into the stirring adventures of Amari Peters, a young girl who refuses to give up on her missing brother, even when the odds are against her. This time around, I noticed the richly detailed world of magic and supernatural creatures, where Amari must navigate the cutthroat world of the Bureau of Supernatural Affairs, all while confronting her own doubts and fears. With its blend of magical school, fantasy, and secret societies, Amari and the Night Brothers is a good match for people with similar tastes to mine, especially given my appreciation for diverse characters, as Amari's experiences and perspectives shine through on every page.

Amari and the Nightbrothers a delightful magical middle grade. It was so good, I had a great time reading. Amari is amazing, brave, kind and smart. Throughout the whole story she is trying to prove herself, to show everyone she belongs while not giving up on finding her brother.

| Favorite Quote | People assume stuff about you based on things you can’t change about yourself. So I just do my best to prove them wrong, to be the person they’re not expecting. Amari Peters, changing minds one person at a time.
| My Review | I had so much fun reading this book! It’s full of endless magic and whimsy. I honestly wish the book was longer, and I wish Alston took his time with each scene. It felt like we were racing through them all! I also feel iffy about the twist ending, but I had so much fun getting there, I’ll let it slide. I’d love to dive back into this world again. Onto book two!

Perfect start of the year. Loved this adventure with Amari and looking forward to embarking new adventures with her. A bit different kind of magical world building, but totally awesome
