Some repetitive statements and a lot of things going on but I ended up really enjoying it!
I’ll forgive “doggo” but *shudders*”zoom zoom juice” loses the book stars

3.75. Cute story. The characters were fun and their journey was interesting. Definitely touched on grief and hurt.

I felt frustrated by the “twist” at the end because I saw it coming. Of course Ben was in a coma. Of course they ended up happily ever after.

The ending was cute and I’m glad it was a happily ever after.

This was cute. I didn't hate it.

Florence was quirky and not terribly annoying. I liked that she could see ghosts. While her ex was a total douchebag, I think she was being a wee dramatic in thinking that she would never ever ever ever find love again or be able to write about love again all because some butthead pulled what he pulled when she was in her...what...20s?

The love interest, Ben, was missing something that I can't quite put my finger on. He was perfectly fine and certainly not the worst, but I couldn't stir up anything about him other than an indifferent shoulder shrug.

Florence's family was my favorite part of this, and I wish there had been more of her siblings and parents. I kept thinking that what I really wanted out of this was a book about her and her family with zero Ben involvement. It really spoiled it for me. She should have been grieving the death of her dad, the man she shared this special gift with and loved more than life but instead she was preoccupied with the ghost of a guy she met like...twice. Every now and then, she would remember that her dad had died and that it made her sad. It was even less believable than the seeing and talking to ghosts bit.

But again...
This was cute. I didn't hate it.

Sweet, funny and thoughtful. This book touched my heart. It had me tearing up and blushing and laughing out loud. It also threw me for a curve! I thought it was going to end a certain way but it decided on a happy ever after. The character development is SUPERB and I loved it! A must read
