Two chapters featured Hungarians! (Maybe I shouldn’t be so excited about that?)

A very interesting read on female serial killers, I really liked the writing style, it was at times funny and sarcastic and really gave life to those women.

Picked this up on a whim! I’m not usually a fan of non-fiction, but I liked how this was told in collections of short stories. It was horrifying, but very packed with information.

I think a lot of these reviews summarize well what was wrong with this book. I really expected to enjoy it. A lot of the women were new to me, and I appreciate the focus on women over centuries. However, the stories were so repetitive, I struggled to keep them straight when mentioned later on. The style of the writing was also… not for me. Maybe I’ve been spoiled listening to LPOTL for years, but I felt the majority of the chapters were dumped with fluffy language and cliches. Hope to see more (and better) in the future.
