I loved it.
In spite of the topic's sinister nature, the author's tone is engaging and, at some points, even humourous and sarcastic. I also liked how she not only presents the facts but analyses how gender plays a part in how the subjects in the book are perceived: she debunks the myth that female killers must have a motive such as love, vanity or envy and critically exposes how they are usually sexualized or not taken seriously.
Moreover, I find both the cover and the illustrations (by Dame Darcy) of great aesthetic taste and it was a nice surprise to find some information about the writing of the book and the author's opinions on it as an appendix to her work. Even the circumstances in which I purchased my copy of the book are special (at the end of a life-changing trip, with the little money I had left).

Although a lot of the book felt a little repetitive, i think that tefler does a good job doing her research. i really enjoyed reading about lady serial killers and it was really interesting to see how many women kill and get away with it along with the reasons why they did it. i also appreciate the scope of time and races she encompasses throughout the text.
