I’m going to have to read this one over again at some point because it was an enjoyment of 2.75-3 stars but it’s well written so I gave it an overall 4 for me.
I’m a huge fan of Children of Time so I was excited to start this series. However, while I do really enjoy Tchaikovsky’s writing usually, the story really dragged for me, I couldn’t connect with the characters, and for some reason I had a hard time following the plot progression. Maybe i was in the wrong head space for it, so it’s in my to be reread pile to see if I like it better at a later date.

I love a good space opera. A Scifi book light on the sci heavy on the fi. The aliens are cool and unusual and the characters are unique and interesting. I found myself laughing with the characters and being anxious with them. Can’t wait to read the next book.
