I’m really tempted to just give it 4 stars but I can’t forgive the first half which was boring, and I didn’t care at all. When people died (I guess I was supposed to care about their deaths but I really didn’t) and we came down to a main group of about 5 people then it got interesting.
Form Jericho the story gets way way better, we finally have a main conflict and purpose and then the ending was just great, Tchaikovsky at his best writing about strange alien minds and setting the premise for a great second book.
At least that what I hope.
I also believe that I didn’t like the first part of this because I really don’t jam well with all the “ragtag group of misfits goes around and about the universe doing stuff”
