I spent most of the book annoyed at how irresponsible Ruby was being by not letting anyone know what was going on.
Omg this girl is a fall risk and doesn’t tell ANYONE around her even as she continues to pass out multiple times and then get stressed about not telling her boyfriend like 🙈 This girl makes all sorts of silly decisions I really can’t handle. Also the boyfriend is SO immediately territorial it’s concerning. Anyway that’s the nature of these books ain’t it.

This gworl is a grumpy x sunshine through and through. Ruby's lived her life according to her heart condition and she's tired of it. Her brother and her dad have kept her in a cage (not actually, don't worry) and since she lost her mom to her own heart issues, she has tried to be as careful as possible. Until now. Now she wants to be free and so she gets in her car and drives. She finds herself in a small town's dive bar and comes face to face with the cowboy himself, Charlie. Charlie's only desire is to keep his ranch from failing and falling apart. He's never had eyes for anyone or anything that would take him away from that but when the ray of sunshine that is Ruby walks into the bar she looks so out of place in, his eyes always find their way back to her.
Runaway Ranch has gotten somewhat of a bad rep recently online and Ruby's social media managing is ready to get to work. Woman with a plan, she offers to help Charlie out after a couple of run-ins and he can't help but agree. For three months, she'll restore people's faith in the ranch and then be off on her next adventure. The longer she hangs out with Charlie and his brothers, the harder she will find leaving. She loves this place, in awe of everything she comes across. Charlie and her may give into the pull but there are secrets neither have shared with the other. With a deadline to their arrangement, they try to keep it light and fun but it is clear there is more between them.

The only thing that really frustrated me about this book was it took 85% of the book for the FMC to tell the MMC about her heart condition. Other than that, it was a good book
