There are times I appreciate sports romance. And there are times that I don't. This is one of the those times.

Definitely my favorite of the series so far. Super deep & some heavy topics but so good. & the spice

“He didn’t kiss me with the passion to take my clothes off, he kissed me with the desperation to save me.”

“Sorry to disrupt your plans.” “Feel free to disrupt the rest of my life.”

“And I will spend the rest of my life loving you. No matter how long that is. Every minute I am here on Earth is yours. And after that, too.”

Seeing a hot, buff quarterback cuddling a tiny baby girl was the recipe for more than just a few disasters.

A great addition to this college football standalone series:

What I loved:
1. I loved the reverse grumpy sunshine. Julep was the best aide of grumpy and curt, and Holden was the perfect cinnamon roll hero.
2. They had great banter and chemistry. The steamy scenes were so good. I loved the dominant side that came out of Holden.
3. I loved how their story played out, and how they grew together, slowly sharing parts of themselves.
4. I loved the bits about the family and how people make mistakes.
5. The found football family is so great, and I loved for any cameo from Clay and Gianna.
6. Holden falling first was chef’s kiss. Seeing him change his focus from football only to both was romance hero perfection.

What I didn’t love:
1. The coach. I literally wanted to punch him out for so much of the book. I get what motivated him, but at times it was too much for me.

While I did enjoy this book, it didn’t grab me in the same way the last standalone and couple did. It is still one I would recommend to new adult, college romance lovers.
