Going to revisit this later in the year - didn’t have my mind and heart in it for now.

The book has a sort of "falling forward" feel to it. This is probably a style thing, but I don't like how the major plot points don't happen until the end. It was a really great read and the ending, while not surprising left me in shock. Beautiful ending though.

Iki knygos vidurio skaitosi labai maloniai, su tra lia lia gaida, dar kartais kyla klausimas: prie ko čia tie vaiduokliai?
Nuo viduriuko - eina sau kaip gerai! Kaip įdomiai! Kaip intelektualiai! Simbolizmas kvadratu! Ten ties tais taškeliais ir linijomis autorius atrakina paralelinę dimensiją, įkrenti ir tiesiog žaviesi…

Labai patiko autoriaus braižas, kuriama žaismės ir intelektuamo dermė. Sakiniai gilūs, teiginiai svarūs, bet visuomet apgaubti lengvumo, žaismės, net šviesos.

Žodžiu, palieku ryškias 5* ir einu ieškoti kitos autoriaus knygos.

An incredibly simple premise written in an inventive and challenging way. I sometimes felt that the philosophical asides were not .... aside enough .... but especially around architecture and the nature of thought, it often worked very well. I think this book taught me that there are in fact captivating ways to "tell" rather than "show," ways to really dig into a character's interiority and thought process that don't have to be grounded in scene.
