I was really unsure how I felt about this but I couldn’t put it down. I was annoyed at Alex for most of the book but the perspective was interesting. I love an unreliable narrator.
Reminded me way too much of a friend in high school with a big juicy purse who was, I now realize, like Alex was scrambling to survive by using and jumping from person to person for rides, places to sleep, unreciprocated favors, and broken promises. It’s like parasite, pretty woman, the summer I turned pretty, and gone girl went to the Hamptons and I still don’t know how I want to interpret the ending
