Pure excellence start to finish!! I completely adored the characters and loved the plot — everything felt fresh and original, yet timeless. It started to feel a little bit soap opera-y for a moment in Part III, but I honestly didn’t mind much. Definitely a new favorite for classic lit!

I really enjoyed this story, Volume II was a slog to get through but Vol I and III were much more enjoyable.
Im excited to watch the films now, and to go back and reread some of the descriptive passages again at some point, and look more deeply into the references and motifs that thread through the story.

I definately think I am in possession of the world's prettiest Dickens book. So long ugly black, depressing looking Dickens!

Not one of Dickens’ best works, but I’m still content I read it. It had its moments when the protagonist’s arc progressed, but I found the unfurling of the plot meandering and rather self-indulgent.
