did the perfect job of being a rom com! i love nora and charlie's dynamic. the grief intertwined with the humor was so well-written.

Needed something Light tm after the last few reads and this was perfect. Beach Read supremacy forever but this was fun !! Even better that the sisters are actually the main love story

This one isn’t quite as fast-paced as Emily Henry’s other books, BUT it might have my favorite cast of characters she’s written so far. Once the sneakiness of the dialogue slowed down a bit, I got really invested.  I ended up loving Nora—total Meredith Blake energy—and Charlie? Hot. By the end, I really cared about all of them, and the ending landed exactly how I predicted (and hoped). A satisfying finish to an enjoyable read.

Emily Henry has written her best book yet. Purchased at Joseph Beth (the independent bookstore that belongs to both of us), I devoured this book in about 6-7 hours, and have just finished. It is 4:22 AM and I am sobbing my heart out. I have never felt more seen in a book, and it means so much to me, and will for the rest of time. Henry put this story together in a way that tore me apart and repaired all the cracks at the same time. Nora Stephens as a character means more to me than I could possibly explain. The importance of female characters who refuse to compromise their career goals or life dreams for a man is something exemplified in everyday life, and Henry refuses to conform to the standard that they should. This book was no exception. After People We Meet on Vacation and Beach Read, I fell in love with not only her writing style, but her characters, and the way she ties things together in the EHLU (Emily Henry Literary Universe). Book Lovers further solidified my belief she is incapable of writing a bad book, and I will read everything she writes from now on. Emily, thank you for creating a book that means the world to me.

I will always love an Emily Henry book. It is who I am at my core. This book is no exception! I love the characters and how much emphasis this book places on sisterhood. I would only change up a few details, but other than that, I love it.

Literally the first contemporary romance I have liked.
Is it mostly because the main characters work in the literary world and live books? Probably. But I still count it as a win.
Good characters, decent banter, cute setting - overall I enjoyed it.

the romance book to end all romance books

Emily Henry did it again. The way she writes and creates characters makes me feel so happy. She really understands the complexity of human emotions perfectly. She didn’t only give us an amazing heartwarming love story, she also gave us life lessons that I'm going to carry. Nora and Charlie have my heart now.
