“I think you're one of the least disappointing people I've ever met ”

“That is what I'm looking for every time I flip to the back of a book, compulsively checking for proof that in life where so many things have gone wrong, there can be beauty too. That there is always hope, no matter what. Yes, you have lost something, but maybe, someday, you'll find something too.”

It’s everything you want and more. It doesn’t drag and doesn’t move too fast, it’s amazing from end to beginning. Tender and emotional on all the places that it should be. Predictable ending a little but it was still endearing. Great take on the enemies to lovers trope. Meta in the mention of books and tropes within the book. I love the message that it is a tale for those who want it all, claiming that you can have it all.

This book was for my book club’s theme in which we read “ a book we’d be embarrassed to be caught reading in public.” And though I would only read this type of book in the privacy of my own home I was pleasantly suprised. Loved the WNC representation and the sisters relationship. A little bit upset at the nc state erasure but alas. This felt like watching a Netflix romcom which is another guilty pleasure.

Not my favorite Emily Henry book. I don’t think it lived up to the hype BUT I do think I might appreciate it more as a physical book over audio bc there is so much banter

A romcom you can’t help but adore. Excellent writing that makes you laugh and fall for every character
