I loved Lucky! At just 232 pages it was easy to binge in less than a day, and that is exactly what I did. It was hard to stop singing Lucky by Britney Spears the whole time though

Loved listening to this but liked enough to get the book to finish faster.

Fun read! This story was very unique and entertaining, a story that had a way of feeling so unrealistically real, that as a reader I couldn’t put it down. I was never really sure if I adored Main character, Lucky, or if my honest inner character hated her, but ultimately she has an undeniable charm about her that propelled this tale forward.

Lucky has been raised by a con artist, into a con artist, who dated a con artist, when things start unraveling at the seams just before they make their long awaited escape out of the country. She buys what ends up being the winning multi million dollar lottery ticket that she can’t possibly cash in without being caught for all of her trailing crimes.

The story follows Lucky while she tries to redeem herself, find out the truth, and learn who and how to trust again.

Pretty good until halfway in. And then wow, it just kept getting worse and worse. I blame the editor and publisher. Stapley clearly has some talent and it's been squandered. The plot became ridiculous, and just as I thought things couldn't get dumber, new silly complications and coincidences were added.

4.5 stars for this one!

Loved the alternating timelines and the story. It kept me guessing until the very end.
My biggest (and really only) issue was pacing. It was slow at times and then the end was at breakneck speed.
Also would have loved an epilogue to see how it all worked out for the main characters.

3.5

This was a quick read and an enjoyable story. I was just missing more of a connection to Lucky.
