This was *almost* 5 stars! The story was wonderful, characters well thought out and I moved quickly. However, it was too quick and it all wrapped up almost too neatly. I think it could have used another 50 pages at least.
Still great though!

Wow…this took me 3 hours to read and I don’t hate it!

This is all about a woman, Lucky. Lucky is a grifter and con artist, who was brought up in a world of con. Her father, instilled in her very young that nothing was permanent. They moved from place to place, constantly conning others.

all lucky wanted was a “normal life” but due to her fathers embezzlement, criminal boyfriend, and her poor choices, she was never given that opportunity.

Until one day, while she’s on the run, she buys a lottery ticket. A 350 million dollar winning lottery ticket. She has to decide how she will cash it out without getting charged with her lingering crimes.

I loved how this really instilled how you are a product of your own environment and the struggle to stand a chance with the hand you were dealt is near impossible.

My only qualm was that the ending was rushed and I wanted more!

This was a super quick, enjoyable read about the life of a grifter. It moves between the timeline of Lucky’s childhood and now with a lot of twists and turns. This was a fun book and I definitely recommend.

Quick short easy read, I really liked the different timelines that delved into Lucky's past and present. Lucky was dynamic as the main character, not being good or bad. I read this on a ten-hour flight to Italy and it was entertaining enough to read in one day!

A fun story about con artists. I was happy that Lucky got her dog back in the end and met her real mother.

Not a strong enough MC to justify the mundane plot execution.

A DA, a couple of con artists, a money launderer, and a nun enter a plot.

I really don’t know what the point of this book was. I felt nothing reading it. Lucky was equally dumb as she was smart, so I have no idea how she got as far as she did. Everything happened so conveniently, and it ended too quickly for all that happened before.

Will Lucky ever get a freaking social security number?
