Definitely the vibes and the story beats didn’t quite live up to the concept for me, but this was still a super fun, quick read.

Transparently though I think there was a huge gaping missed opportunity with Lucky’s relationship to her dad. They have one conversation towards the end but it doesn’t have any narrative weight and it feels like the driving force of all the earlier flashback scenes just kind of gets pushed aside. I would have gladly taken another 25 pages to really tie up that loose end.

Such a fun concept, I loved the two timelines and how everything slotted together so well.

Lucky was a very loveable protagonist despite all of her flaws, they built her and showed that individuals are not so black and white.

Whilst I think that the ending tied everything up, I think it was slightly rushed, I feel like they rounded everything up in about 7 pages and I just wanted a little bit more at the end.

But overall so so fun, unique idea, loved it!
