Honestly, this book was not my favorite. It was an easy read that did keep you hooked the whole time trying to figure on what was going on. I really did enjoy the steam factor in this one and how adventurous the characters were! That definitely made the book much more interesting!
It did bother me how easy it was for Sadie to want to throw away her old life for Finn. It also bothered me how crappy Nathan was treating Sadie, and I totally would have stuck up for myself much sooner if I was her but she basically just allowed him to treat her like crap.
Overall, it was a decent read. Not my favorite Jessica Hawkins book though!

This is not my genre and I found the main character extremely unlikeable and whiny.
This is definitely a love and hate relationship I have with this book. I just can't with the cheating. And the ending was unexpected. GAH!!
FEELS!
I don't even know where to begin. I hate reading reviews and most of the time I don't even read descriptions. I kept seeing posts about this book and my friends who have never failed me with book suggestions loved this book. This story was so unexpected. I didn't even know how to feel while I was reading. There were times where I didn't know whether to scream or cry. I had so many emotions running through me all at once. I don't even think 5 stars is enough. AMAZING! Definitely a must read!

I was so scared to read this book because I tend to stay clear of that subject but at the same time was really intrigued. With just a peek inside I was hooked and I couldn't put it down.
I loved Finn throughout the whole book and I felt sorry for him and he owns a piece of my heart but Nathan stole it completely he came at the end and swept me off my feet. I completely understand where Nathan resentment was coming from because I'm living it and we just shut it down completely. Now if I have have choose only if a really really have to choose someone to blame and some people will say everybody is to blame I will dump the whole bucket of blame on Sadie.
I really enjoy it and to me the ending was perfect.
"Is a scar bad if everything that led to it was good?"
Infidelity is hard issue for me, but despite that I liked the book. Just a sore subject...

This was a really tense book in all the good ways. . Lol
That being said Sadie made me want to smack her quite a bit through this book. Between her selfishness and whiny crap ugh Then she does the worst thing.
Nathan is Sadies sexy good hearted hubby that would do anything for Sadie. Except he loses himself in his own head do much that Sadie starts to slip away from him. He frustrated me also because he did close her out, instead of talking to her and figuring everything out together like a real relationship should be.
Finn well that poor boy just lost himself in something he shouldn't have period. He needed to fix his own life first before moving onto other ventures. It's always best to close one door before opening another. He was so pushy and wanted what he wanted so bad that he tried to make it that way.
I really enjoyed this book. Its always good to have love hate feels for boks sometimes and their characters. This for sure happened in this one for me. Thank you Jessica for this awesome book. I look forward to reading more of your work!!

4.5 Stars!
This story captured me from the start and never let go until it had wrung every last emotion out of me. It is told entirely from Sadie's pov and it worked so perfectly here because you truly felt all of her sadness, hope, confusion, and loneliness. For seven years Nathan & Sadie took pride in their perfect marriage, but when flaws surfaced they began to doubt each other. Then when Sadie rekindles a relationship with her sexy neighbor, Finn, the lines become even more blurred. Ms. Hawkins did a beautiful job slowly revealing past secrets and present struggles. My opinion and sympathies ebb and flowed between the main characters as each bit of information was disclosed. I liked the characters and they felt genuine and honest. They made me laugh, cry, and want to yell at times with the lack of communication. I didn't always agree with their decisions and actions but life is messy and never perfect allowing us to find beauty in those imperfections. I was not sure I would like this forbidden romance, but no matter how many times I wanted to stop I just couldn't put it down, which is a testament to the authors artistry. The ending was a little quick and tidy but still very satisfying. If you are looking for an emotional and sexy romance you need to definitely read this book.

I liked this book but I needed some time to really think about how to write my review!
The end confused me, I liked her decision but it happened to happy and easily.
