Crazy how great this one actually is compared to Horse. The first 2/3rds are actually a really fun adventure book with really engaging characters before it becomes a very on the nose allegory again but it’s sweet and fun and innocent

a trip down memory lane. you can tell this book was written after the second book in the series (chronologically) and it just makes the storytelling sort of odd. i also noticed the obvious religious allegories that i skimmed over when i was a kid. i feel like some of them actually took away from the story and were obviously there just for the sake of mirroring a biblical story. i surely hope i enjoy my re-read of the rest of this series far more than this one. first half of this book is 5/5 and the last half brings it waaaaaay down for me.

I was a little bit bored with the story up until, Aslan came in but after that it was very enjoyable! I won't be listening to the audio book for the rest of the series because that was just not a good experience for me. I usually have no complaints with audiobooks, but this one just really made me annoyed. The story though overall was very cute and fun to read and I think I'm going to continue on finishing the series.
