Finaly has really got herself into a jam this time.   She has to find the contact killer who was trying to kill her husband, and she's under a time crunch to do it.

The antics and the amount of bad guys just keep climbing!  The author is doing a great job of keeping the suspense while holding on to that slow burn between Finaly and Nick.  Throw Vera and a few other characters in, and it's sure to be a wild ride!

I haven't gobbled up a series like this in a long time; I usually lose interest by now. Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun had stumbled with pacing and dragged out a little compared to the previous books, but it was still a good series. I used this book in a challenge for Beyond the Bookends on Facebook.

Wow.  Like the previous two books in the series, this one was improbable but fun.  The ending, though.  Talk about a fast-paced final act.  I was on the edge of my seat wondering how they were going to scrape through.

I enjoyed the setting at the police academy and there were definitely moments that made me giggle.

But, ugh, Stephen is the worst.  I'm so over him.

Looking forward to where Finlay and Vero go next!
