I liked it until the ending

Terrible ending.

It has potential. I was there and could see this resolving in several ways and then it resolves in a pretty lame way.

It had some interesting ideas and actions, but peters out in the end.

I didn’t buy his close relationship with the Indigenous people. There was not enough interaction for him to claim such closeness.

I felt the cellar needed more attention and explanation. That line kind of went nowhere. I needed some more tie in to her parents and these past cabin owners.

It’s got a good blue print, but doesn’t reach its full potential.

And I had no idea if he was an indigenous person until the end where I got to his essay about how everyone told him not to write this with Indigenous people but he did anyways because he thinks it’s ok. It was in such bad taste. It was sooooo white mam.

Definitely the scariest book I’ve ever read
