My favorite so far but I had a feeling it would be. I always fall hard for the books with the troubled hero's. Really looking forward to Tao's and Dominic's books.
One note: You may want to read Spiral of a need the first book in the Mercury Pack series as it's main couple play into this books storyline.

Listened the audiobook while so sick the world seemed a blur of fever and nausea. Was still able to appreciate and enjoy the storyline and narration. That alone deserves 4 stars!!

Ryan Conner & Makenna Wray
Yes, yes, yes!!! Makenna and Ryan are just perfect together! I really loved them together and separately. I liked their times together, I think this one is my favorite book from this series.
Makenna is such a funny woman she is just perfect. I liked the shelter and also the side story with Ryan's family member.

In this series, I sometimes feel that the female characters are the same and some of the male characters, but it's not the case in this book. Both feel different and not the same as the other characters. I love how [a:Suzanne Wright|5769764|Suzanne Wright|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1331458504p2/5769764.jpg] has this way of giving each character something unique, and hate it at the same time when characters are still the same even after that, but whatever I am still here after all this time so I guess it's good enough for me.
I know some will consider me crazy because I still reread this series even after all this time but I doubt I will ever get over it. It is not the best-written series that I have read so far, I know that and I will not call it that, but I think it got into my heart and mind and I still can't leave this world that [a:Suzanne Wright|5769764|Suzanne Wright|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1331458504p2/5769764.jpg] created in this series. I think that once in a while I will 100% need to reread one book from Phoenix Pack or Mercury Pack series.

I just KNEW I was going to love Ryan’s book because he’s just so silent and mysterious and mainly speaks in grunts. I absolutely loved Makenna and they made such a cute match. The only reason I knocked off half a star was because I found the ending fight scenes to be a little drawn out

I liked this way more than I thought I would. It was so enjoyable and delectable! 4.25 stars!

It was a good idea giving this series a break as I think the author tends to have a set formula for romance (not that it's bad!)
I will slowly continue this series as I feel the need for some alpha-shift-romance in my life...
