Audible Review:
I did a re-read through audible. This is the same narrator as in the first 4 books of the series and I would recommend the audible version. The narrator has been very consistent with the characters and has really brought them to life.

Story Review
I loved this book! The main characters drew me right in and I loved every bit of their interaction together. There was no dragging in the beginning trying to learn every little piece of information. The author immediately started the story off with Ryan and Mackenna from the first chapter all the way to the last.

Ryan is the ultimate Hero all the women swoon for. He's a dominant, protective and dangerous wolf shifter who grunts in communication. Mackenna, the heroine, is also a wolf shifter but she is anything but silent. She's sassy, protective and fierce. She is also a lone wolf who has no family, no pack and no memory of her previous pack. Mackenna works for a shifter shelter helping other lone shifters find a safe place to go when they are no longer in their pack. The two meet when Mackenna hunts Ryan down to introduce him to his teenage cousin who ran from his original pack.

Ryan and Mackenna's interactions were highly enteraining and the story was full of action. I have not read any of the other books in the series and this is a standalone book but I was so intrigued by all the characters, I will definitaly go back and read all the book in the series.

Still keeping this at 4*. I loved the tension in this one, even though it was pretty true to form from the other books, it also introduces characters that will come into play in later books.
I'm loving re-reading this series.

Liked this even better on re-read.

I loved this addition to the series. Ryan has been one of my favourite characters so far. Makenna is the kind of girl exactly what Ryan needed.

so much emotions happens near the end of the book.

4.5 stars!

Makenna is a loner wolf who has always had problems letting people in.

Ryan is an enforcer who is as empathetic as a stick and doesn't believe in fate.

Them being mates would be the most random thing and not something anyone would have guessed based off their personalities. While Makenna has problems letting people in, she has a huge heart and always puts others before her. She is filled with love and the need to help others. Meanwhile, Ryan really doesn't feel much emotion at all, barely talks, and when he does talk he's way too blunt and to the point that most people are scared of him.

Two different kind of people and yet when they get together, despite everything, they are compatible.

I loved this addition to the series! It has everything I expect from a Suzanne Wright book: comedy, romance, action, steam and amazing secondary characters.

The only thing that annoyed me was the fact that Makenna took forever to accept the bond but I loved how Ryan never once doubted it and was there for her no matter what and through every doubt she had.

Thank you!

Switched between the audiobook and ebook.

Fantastic story!

Ryan was a character that intrigued me from the beginning. His story was even better than I had expected. Kenna was the perfect mate for him. I hope future books in the series bring happy endings for the good people at the shelter! Awesome read!
