Mmmm, what's not to love about Ryan? And happily, I loved Makenna. Her work at the shelter, her compassion and selflessness - but never to the point of TSTL - made her a fantastic compliment to Ryan.

And the overall plot held up nicely too ...
Spoilerthough it was a little much to be facing two completely unconnected douchebag Alphas who both happened to be pedophiles. I get wanting high stakes, but it stretched disbelief a little. I mean, how rampant is pedophilia in the shifter community, in this universe? This gives the impression that it is SUPER common.

Okay, so this book took me forever and a day to get into. Or.. it felt like it. By the time I finished this, I didn't even have the effort to write a damn review - so here it goes.

Savage Urges was probably my least favorite of this series and I feel like that is saying something. The characters didn't intrigue me one bit and the synopsis was basically the entire book. Throughout the series, I always found Ryan a bit interesting but with his little love obsession with Makenna was just boring to me.

The Phoenix pack is back to the rescue and this time it's to save a shelter for lone shifters. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Ryan's little mate works there but eh - it doesn't really matter either. Or at least it didn't to me. Again, I was just a zombie while reading this because I didn't care and I wasn't invested in anything. Which was just so sad because the beginning of this series was so addicting but now I'm just like - meh, I might read the next one.

I know I was super excited to dive into a certain characters book but right now I just don't have the motivation to dive into book 6. I don't even want to look for it on my kindle right now. Maybe another time because I hate leaving series unfinished but ugh, I need a good book and right now this series is slacking.

Overall, they were kind of cute in a boring way.
