Super sweet romance from a debut author. Alison and Adam meet at Sam’s funeral — her ex-boyfriend, his ex-best friend — and both of them are roped into pretending that their relationships were solid and untroubled for the sake of the grieving family. They agree to help pack up his apartment in together and along the way fall in love, find self-love, and begin to cope with their own hefty emotional baggage thanks to therapy. The conceit was so novel and the issues being faced were so well-done, it was really beautiful. So excited to see what Ellie Palmer does next!
