Lovely. Absolutely devoured it. Didn’t realize it was closed door/no spice going into it. That’s my mistake for not double checking. Still loved it.

The base storyline has some cringe/second-hand embarrassment to it. But I found this to be super funny - I laughed out loud at multiple parts! Really loved the ending and how the threads came together...

If you play trivia that's also a big part of her friend group.

I took this on a trip to the Twin Cities, read 0 pages there. Missed opportunity, apparently.

This was cute! I love reading books set in Minnesota, and this one did not disappoint. While I found the chemistry between Allison and Adam a little lackluster, I loved Allison’s friend group. I, too, get unnecessarily competitive when it comes to trivia

This book is tender, drily funny, with a real sense of place. It’s layered and rich with well-developed secondary characters. Very much a romance for grownups (both MCs start dealing with their ish in therapy, and there’s no “true loved fixed me!)—I would characterize it more as women’s fiction than a pure romance novel. The FMC has her big realization about 15% past the point that it became tedious, but the book wraps up so well I forgot about that by the end. It was a perfect just before Christmas read!

Thank you to G.P. Putnam’s Sons for providing me with an ARC for review consideration via NetGalley.
