Tyler Oakes is a little restless one night when he heads to a bar he thinks is a strip joint and turns into an epic police integrated car chase with Randi the super hot cop using his car. Tyler Oakes struggling with football and so his team decides to bring in Brian Mason, Ty’s old coach and semi-lover. Brian crushed Tyler back then and now he’s come back to apologize. Things become a lot more complicated when Tyler Brian and Randi end up together time and time again. Tyler and Brian get feelings, Tyler and Randi get feelings, and Brian and Randi get feelings. This ends up with a very interesting M/F/M book I really enjoyed.

Tyler has been in love before, with Brian in college when he was his coach. They used to share women because Tyler was too scared to be with Brian without one. Then Brian left him and now he doesn’t want to be with anyone serious again. Until he meets Randi. Randi has been fighting to be seen as an equal in her job as a cop. She went undercover and is now dealing with the trauma of being sexually assaulted. Then enter Brian to the mix who has been divorced and is assigned to help Tyler become a better player. He doesn’t know how to interact with Tyler and her thinks Tyler is with Randi but he wants to be with both of them. It’s a constant push and pull between who belongs in the relationship and who doesn’t.

I seriously enjoyed this story. All the characters grow so much it’s fantastic. I enjoyed the whole story and how all the character were so realistic and just all around unique and amazing. Another great story by Samanthe Kane.

I received an ARC from Netgalley.

Samantha Kane wrote a great book of new love and an old flame coming back into the life of QB Ty Oakes. Ty and Brian are a perfect complement to Randi McInish. Kane wrote a good second novel in the Birmingham Rebels series.I hope the next one is about Tom or Danny as they were great secondary characters. She did address some of the elephants in the room from the first novel.

The plot was seriously thin but the characters are so likable.

Oh Ty...

Hot quarterback, sexy coach and tough as nails female cop. Ty, Brian and Randi were sweet and sexy. Ty won my heart though. Second chance story meets slightly broken, finds HEA. I think I might like this football team!

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**

Calling the Play has some really hot scenes, the menage was on point, the sex scenes steamy. That was a big draw for me. Ms. Kane can write a sex scene.

Unfortunately, the rest really fell flat for me. The plot seemed to be all over the place. The romance was not emotional as it was sexual. I do love a good book based on the sexual aspects of the relationship, but this romance just seemed to be non believable.

Calling the Play is the second book in the Birmingham Rebels series from author Samantha Kane and is a menage romance with a hint of a second chance love story. Tyler Oakes's bisexuality is something he's never felt the need to hide from anyone. He's also been known to share when it comes to sexual partners, something he started with his friend Brian Mason back in college. Tyler was already developing feeling for Brian back then, but Brian left and later went on to marry the very same woman both he and Tyler shared. Now, Brian comes back into Tyler's professional life as a coach, but he isn't sure if his friend's ready to welcome him back in his personal life, especially when he sees that Tyler's involved with Randi McInish, who has her fantasies when it comes to threesomes, and both Tyler and Brian appear to be up to the task.

This second in a series has the same menage theme that the first book had, but with the added twist of Tyler and Randi already being somewhat of a couple when Brian re-enters the picture as the man who has a shared past with Tyler. I liked how Brian really made an effort to try and re-gain Tyler's love and trust, and how he wanted to integrate Randi into a possible three-way relationship. Having Brian as yet another coach who becomes involved with a player makes me wonder if everyone else on the coaching staff is going to end up sleeping with one or more of the players throughout the series, since it appears this team has a habit of doing so. The story was fast-paced and the scenes were hot, whether they be between just two of the main characters or all three of them together as a unit. I'm giving Calling the Play 3.5 stars, rounded off to four stars. ♥

Calling The Play by Samantha Kane was a hot menage story. It started off with Ty and Randi meeting and getting together and then Brain was introduced into the mix. I won't go into the details of the story because the synopsis below does that, but I will say this was a HOT story. Ty, Randi, and Brian had great chemistry and it came through the entire book. One thing I should warn readers about is there is a MM sex scene. I know some readers aren't into that, but it was definitely necessary for this story and I felt added to the emotional connection between Ty and Brian. Overall, I felt that this story was well written and was a great read. I give it 4.5 stars and I can't wait to read more from Samantha Kane.

3.5 stars

I surprisingly really like book one in this series, so I was looking forward to this one a lot.

I didn't love this one as much as book one, mainly because of the h, she was just a little to much, a little to "in your face", I much prefer that my h be a little less on the aggressive side. Both H's were great though, it isn't seldom you read about a 5´7 hero, so that was a nice change of pace.

Still a decent read, and I can't wait for a book three, I assume there will be one...hopefully!

Another great one

Loved this one!!! The characters are awesome. I fell in love with Ty on the first story and was very happy to get his. The characters are very well written and the book is very smooth. I was very happy to get to see more of the team again and can't wait for the rest of their stories and to get to know them all better. I'd love to actually see some of the season too as they finally get this team together and kicking butt. Reading the first in this series is not entirely needed but it will definitely up your enjoyment and give you more insight into the characters. I really want the next one already already. These are really well done and I can't wait for more!
