Hm..
Can't wait to see your own opinion, gak mau tebar spoiler haha..

You know--I wasn't too sure where this was going when I started reading. But, in the end, I think I liked it. The whole "take other's pain" thing was a tad on the hard to grasp side. But, in the end, it wasn't that hard to believe. I think this book's message on pain is a great one--that everyone's just got to endure their own.
I loved the names of the characters. Loved. Loved. Loved.

Shusterman is one of my favorite authors. Creepy and or weird books are right up my alley. This one kept me reading, no doubt about it, but the characters were a little unrealistic to me. It was especially the little brother, Cody. His voice was too scripted, too old for his young age. Otherwise, as usual, the idea behind the story was great, the plotting, very good. If I could, I would give this one 3 and a half stars.
Well, I definitely did not open this book anticipating to finish it tonight.
4.3 stars
“What's the point of living if you're going to hate the world? Guard your heart if you have to, but don't shut it away.”
I really really loved the concept in this book, it was so unique and made me think deep about pain and emotions.
The characters were so 3 dimensional, and I was intrigued enough to keep flipping the pages. This book was super deep but also super light-hearted at the same time. This is my first Neal Shusterman book, and I was pretty pleasantly surprised.
That being said, I can't pin the nail on why I didn't die-hard love this novel, but it was an interesting and super fantastic read. Would for sure recommend!
Have a wonderful evening

Neal Shusterman is just a master of the craft. He writes such engaging and interesting stories with likeable characters. Tennyson, Bronte, and Brewster will stay with me for a long time.

One of the most stressful books of my life. I. Ate. This.Book. Up. Omg
The way the chapters were constructed was so easy to get through and each perspective was so unique and perfect. I loved, loved, loved the characters. I especially love Brewster's free form chapters as they brought a layer of surrealism into the novel. Safe to say that he is one of the highlights in the novel. Now, I might be dumb, but I hope he wakes tf up. Because Brewster is 80% of why I'm stressed.
My second favorite will be Cody because oomf, I just love childish characters with deep perspectives. His voice was so immature, but strangely so??? insightful??? He made me cry almost as much as Brewster did.
Then there's Tennyson and Bronte. Now, I'm ngl, they were a little annoying, self-centered and arrogant. BUT, they did get better and I geniunely love their friendship with Brewster. I could have done away with the romance element and just focused on character development and friendships, but Bronte really helped Brewster out of his shell. So, its a pass.
Easily one of my favorite books and I will be re-reading this once my heart has recovered.
5/5 A+

Wonderful book. An interesting look at addiction. Hard to describe but you should go read it.
This book really was amazing. It has a bit of a supernatural flare to it but still tells a story with purpose and a moral. The different points of view from the brother and sister were great but Brewster's point of view was incredible. He spoke in poems, which should have come across as super cheesy, but it worked. And it worked well. I could have read the entire book from his point of view and it would have been even more amazing. Honestly, I haven't read a book this good in quite some time. I absolutely loved Neal Shusterman's Unwind so I shouldn't have been surprised by how good this one was. I would definitely recommend this one to anyone who would listen.
