Johnny and Claire are two young adults that haven't always had the easiest life. Johnny not knowing his father and losing his mother at a young age. Claire having a great dad, but a mom that just never wanted to be a mom.

When their paths collide, it is nothing less than dynamite and fireworks. Both broken, in their own ways, just needing to find a way to heal and learn to love. Their path isn't easy, and it gets awfully scary, but together, they are on the path together.

From the East coast, to the west coast, back to the East Coast, follow their story, and see how HEAs do happen, but not without loss along the way.

This broke me at times. Tears fell, happy, and at too many times, sad. I am forever grateful to Luna Pierce for writing this and allowing me to read her story. It's a LONG journey, but it is one you should take.

This book pulled me right in and I loved every second of it! The first part is like going on an adventure and each page you learn something new. The second part was less of that and I felt like it got dull in some parts and the story just kept repeating itself and over explaining things. Other than that, it was a fantastic book.

I read this book after a Untamed Vixen and Vilnian Era and I regret nothing! Although this story is not a why choose it takes place right before Untamed Vixen.

Claire's world is turned upside down when she moves across the country to sunny California for college. School is her number one focus and the only thing she needs to get back to her east coast home is a scholarship her professor is willing to help her get. Just one year and she will be back to everything she loves. The only good thing about being so far away is getting away from someone in her past trying to overtake her future.

Johnny is the mysterious neighbor who seems to not have a care in the world. He definitely doesn't care for Claire and seems to be determined to ruin her day.
An unexpected partnership will change it all for both of them.

I love Johnny and Claire's story. This has to be one of my favorite books of 2023.

This book felt very drawn out and didn't feel like it was going anywhere. I was looking for a dark romance as advertised but instead was drowning in over the top gushy affirmations of love.

DNF'd at 55% its so long and the plot is not fast paced at all. I like the characters but no longer care about their story. I do want to know what happens, but I'm fine with never knowing.
