I looooove Coy Mason. He was everything and so funny. I loved the banter between him and Bellamy, hands down what I always look for between the hero and heroine.

Bellamy is so used to people not choosing her or her being second in peoples lives that with Coy, she accepts that she isn't a priority for him. And he proved that to her one night where she needed him and didn't get a response. Coy has no idea what she is talking about and when they talk about it and talk it out, they figure out it is a big misunderstanding. However...does it change the present? Read it to find out :)

I felt all of the emotions while reading this book. You understand why Bellamy is so closed off to Coy and you see Coy struggling with making decisions and you get to read/watch them fall in love. I also loved how much Boone we got in this story. When Siggy was describing Boone being the relief in the family, the one that everyone calls no matter what--I felt that because I am that for my family. I am super excited to read his book!

I love this family!

The boy next door and the spitfire he didn't know he loved- yes, please!
Oh, he's a country music rockstar...mhm hmmm.
She doesn't make it easy but then jotjing good in life is.

His reputation is mud. Her opinion of him is too but that changes as they realize lige has gotten away from them. Good thing they figure out how to get what they want and learn with each other- how to keep it!

This was a sexy frenemies to lovers listen. While I'm not a huge fan of the male narrator, he has a distinctive voice that gives Coy life. I enjoyed this listen and look forward to more Mason family drama!

I honestly don’t know where to begin.

Coy was somewhat what I had imagined him to be, he was cocky with a charming personality but what I hadn’t expected was the size of his heart. He had the most incredible genuine kindness that he swooned his way straight into my heart.

While Coy had a piece of my heart, Bellamy had a piece of my soul. I shared so much with her it felt as though my past was playing out on the pages before me through someone else’s eyes. She was all sass and closed off because she couldn’t fathom anymore heartbreak.

Bellamy and Coy’s start off with fiery retorts with an underlying sizzle of chemistry between them. Coy was full of determination to find out why Bellamy was directing so much anger towards him and once that was hashed out their chemistry was hot enough to burn the walls between them.

As I read the words of Bellamy and Coy’s story the emotions these characters felt were raw, untamed, and extremely heart wrenching at times. It was incredible to experience the intensity of the lows followed by feeling as if you’re swooning so hard you feel like your floating,

The history they shared made their banter even more entertaining as they went back and forth with quick wit and sarcasm; it balanced out the heavy emotions. The Mason family was another element that added humor, but also the unyielding support this family offers one another is as heartwarming as it is consuming.

Adriana Locke adds a magical element to the families she creates and the Mason family is no different. A superb blend of burning chemistry, a hero that’s a perfect mix of cocky and charming, a quick witted sassy heroine, witty banter, stunningly emotional, steam, a family that has the perfect amount of entertaining, meddling, unfaltering support, and love.

"This feeling is every love song I’ve ever sang, every emotion I’ve tried to elicit with a constructed lyric. It’s calm in the midst of an unpredictable world. It’s safe when nothing else feels solid."

Heartfelt, angsty, steamy childhood friends/neighbors to enemies to lovers that will take your emotions from tears to laughter to contentment. Plus and epilogue that leaves you eager for more of the Mason family.

I had trouble connecting with this story. Bellamy’s personality seemed drab and Coy wasn’t a strong hero. The last third of the book is where I finally got invested in the story of these two. I picked this story up and put it down multiple times. It wasn’t a bad story, but it just wasn’t for me.

The last person Bellamy Davenport wants to come back home to stay is Coy Mason. The sexy boy next door put his career over his friendship with Bellamy in a time that she desperately needed him. But this country music star will not give up on his best friend and once he realizes why they now are enemies will stop at nothing to have her back in his life. But once the hate turns into love will Coy once again put his career over his happiness? Are they doomed before they can ever get it right? Adriana Locke has once again created characters the reader cannot help but fall in love with. The emotional journey that the Bellamy and Coy have to walk through had me laughing out loud in some areas and ugly crying in others. This is by far the most emotional storyline that I have had the pleasure to read from Adriana Locke in a long time - proving once again that no matter the subject and no matter the character the reader will always receive a masterpiece of epic proportions.

Gah! What a great book! I was so (not) patiently waiting for Coy and Bellamy's story from the little taste I got from them in the Relationship Pact. It's not required that you read that book to enjoy this one, but I recommend it, just because it's a great book =) Their chemistry was off the charts and I loved them together! Bellamy put on a good show, but Coy always seemed to know when she was pretending for everyone else's benefit. Coy was a good guy, but he had some growing up to do. It was awesome to see them both realize how much they needed each other as the story played out. As a Daddy's girl, the story line with Bellamy's dad had me tearing up several times throughout the book. I loved that he had a great relationship with Coy, and that Coy was willing to promise to take care of Bellamy. The ending was absolutely perfect for these two! I CAN'T WAIT to find out what happens with Boone!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

it's been too long since starting this one that i don't particularly care about the couple anymore. would potentially revisit this series in the future though, the writing is solid.

I was so excited for book 2 after reading the first in this series, but I struggled through it finally finishing after two-ish weeks, which is very unlike me. I felt the love happened way to fast for Coy and Bellamy. He was apathetic in the beginning and she was hate until it switched so suddenly they’re thinking about marriage? I just didn’t feel the chemistry especially since this was a childhood friends/lovers story.
