I did like this. But, obviously being a children’s book, it wasn’t my favourite. I found it quite unusual, the plot. I haven’t ever watched the film and don’t really know the full plot, but I found it strange, even to read for children.
I feel like personally, this book could have had a lot more potential. I get why it’s loved, because it’s simple and easy to read/listen to, (I listened to it), however, I feel like it could be made in to a more mature version for adults where more thrilling and scarier things happen. I feel like if I read it being young, maybe I would have felt scared, I feel like it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
Would I revisit this book again? Maybe… I’m not sure, I may read it again when I have children or read it to a child. I would love to watch the movie adaptation though.

it was truly just chaos in a book - like clearly it has that childlike wild imagination aspect that makes it such a beloved series for people but it reads as pretty simple prose. honestly it gives a little bit of the vibe of a dad telling a story and the kid chiming in to add their own touches at every other moment. cute that it inspired so many works but also, it's just so random at times haha
(3.25 - I know this is specific but felt it was slightly better than a 3!)
This was weird, weird and more weird! Just when I thought I was getting my head around it and starting to come to some sort of understanding I was instead taken somewhere completely different and left again not knowing what was happening. I felt like I came off a waltzer after reading this, not that that's a bad thing! I enjoyed a few giggles and it was fun stepping into a weird and wonderful world. It did feel like something was missing and maybe it was the push and pull of the story that made me feel that way but I was left wanting more. My sister said it's like an extra long bed time story and I would have to agree!
My favourite character was definitely Bill!

La buena dosis de sinsentido y locuras que necesito de vez en cuando.

Unfortunately I didn't enjoy this classic story. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more when I was younger or will enjoy it in the future when I read it to my kids. However, it was extremely hard to follow, and quite frankly, I found all of the characters to be frustrating.
the details in this story are incredible. almost every second sentence contains some sort of word play, reference or quip. it is quite fascinating to me to consider the attention and care that went into crafting each and every word of this story. what a wonderful children‘s book and well-deserved classic! on a side note, this must be such a difficult book to translate while conveying all the intricate linguistic details.
We all know the story but I wanted to actually read it for myself! I plan to read the rest of her adventures in Wonderland!
