The best part of this book was the beginning, those long emails back and forth between the leads had me in a chokehold. However, maybe I had this too hyped up, because everyone raved about it and I feel like it just didn't hit for me. It was still a good book, don't get me wrong, but it just felt a bit generic and any point of tension was skipped over instead of lingered on. We spent so much time at the FMC's family fashion show, yet the main plot point of the book (the MMC's identity reveal) was over in like 30 seconds with almost NO groveling!?? I felt so cheated!!! I was really enjoying myself at times, but there were huge chunks where I was just bored and waiting for something to happen, so I think this one wasn't for me. I'm going to try the author's other books in the series, but I'm a bit worried about #2 because Violet already annoys me. Wish me luck!
