As someone who hardly reads romance, this book fully converted me to romance fan.

3.5 stars! The start was strong but the end was a bit drawn out given that it was clear for many chapters how each plotline would turn out. However that’s also rom coms for ya, and it was still a fun read.

Super cute rom-com! I listened to it all in one day so probably won't remember much later. But I loved it so much that I checked out the next sister's book immediately after. And would also definitely re-read/listen to at some point in the future when looking for an easy rom-com.

Lily and Nick meet via email randomly when Lily finds his little known author page. Only they don't know each other because he wrote it in college under a psuedonym. Fast forward a year later and they end up being neighbors without knowing that this is who they were emailing all that time. I thought they had good chemistry and their side characters were fun. Honestly my biggest complaint is that cover. Seriously, where is that ladder going to!?

Bookish characters have a soft spot in my heart. Not only were these characters avid readers but one was a writer and one was an editor as well. I loved how their attraction to each other was indelible. There were some really cute moments where it was evident that the chemistry between Nick and Lily soaring off the scales. The dramatic irony had me hooked in to find out when both characters would know what the readers knew from the very beginning. I was rather excited when I read that part of the story. I liked the ending. I’m looking forward to reading more books by this author. I’m rating this book a 3.25.

I listened to this book on audio and I wondered if it impacted my impression of this book. I didn’t feel the voice of Lily matched with the words being used or the tone but I I could have just been in my head. Nick’s voice was definitely giving bedroom voice 24/7. And I’m. It complaining about that one but I noticed.
