I'm torn how to rate this because I loved so much about Goddess of Filth but it also was a little all over the place. It felt more like a draft than a fully polished novel. The concepts, characters, and plot points were all great, but they tended to feel rushed, disjointed, and lacking depth.
I really liked the mythology/folklore aspect of the story and how it was juxtaposed against Christianity. There were so many tidbits of female empowerment, but it still felt a bit superficial.
The book had a lot of potential, and though it left me unsatisfied and wanting more, I still couldn't put it down. It's an easy and enjoyable read. I'm just over here longing for what this book could have been.
