Quirky and fun
This was a light, fun read. I liked the characters and the fact that it was romantic and clean. Good ending. And even a plug to help veterans!

This book was very heart-warming, cute and it revealed the nicer side of human nature. The storyline was fresh and I really enjoyed the two different character perspectives, both characters are very likeable and the book was very fun to read! I really enjoyed it and would like to read more books by this author. “When you’re young, you have time but not enough money and when you’re older, you have money but not enough time.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 and half stars).

Good Man, Dalton was a heart-warming story about expectation versus reality, friendship and family. Greta is eager to take an internship with her celebrity cousin whom she has never met. Dalton is posing as a homeless man for reasons known only to him. For both of them, reality is not matching their expectations. When their paths cross these two find themselves on an unexpected adventure. McQuestion's characters are lovable and keep the reader turning the pages quickly to learn how the story ends!

I absolutely adored this book. The characters are great. Greta is the down to Earth, fairly prim and proper small town girl while her cousin CeCe is a typical Instagram famous celebrity - or is she? Dalton seems to be the perfect guy. I especially enjoyed the ending - with everything going on in I’m the world right now, it felt so good to read something happy. Karen McQuestion has an amazing talent for weaving words together that create a vivid world in the reader’s mind. I absolutely recommend this book!

Laugh Out Loud Yet Thought Provoking. This book can be read as a straight fish out of water romantic comedy, and it works well in that regard (and the back half of it is mostly just this). But where its true power lies is in the questions it provokes in the separate paths our leads take to meeting each other by chance halfway through the book. Greta's front half is an examination of the reality of social media and reality TV, particularly for those who are hyper=focused about monetizing it. The titular Dalton's front half poses some intriguing looks at the realities of homelessness, specifically as it relates to New York City but even, it seems, as a more general concern. Overall a truly exceptional work that can be read in multiple ways and still work well no matter what your particular focus is on. Very much looking forward to future work from this author.

This story felt to me like a study in social standings in society and how we perceive others based on their social media illusion.
Greta: admires her cousin's glitzy, fun life on social media - never having met Cece before.
Dalton: walks away from his social position in life to try understand the forgotten people in society - the homeless.
Each of them quickly discovers that things look quite different when you're no longer on the outside looking in as opposed to living inside the situation.
And then in a strange twist of fate; their paths meet.
I found this a very interesting look at how things are not always as we think they are - how images can be manipulated to tell a story and how invisible the homeless people really are.
It leaves you with something to think about and also shows that there are good guys out there.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for allowing me the chance to read this book.

I loved everything about this book. The characters were wonderfully developed. The scenery made you feel you were actually there. The ups and downs. I loved that this author told how people can end up homeless. It’s not that people want to be there. It’s they almost always have no choice and there are way to many of our veterans out there struggling with things we can’t imagine. Two cousins who had never met became fast best friends. Greta from a farm town and Cece from NY. Greta had a loving caring homelife with a mother who adored her. Cece was from a rich family but very lacking in the loving caring department. Both had envied the other’s lives for years via Christmas cards each family received. Cece was treated like she had no mind of her own. She had a beautiful rich life but was very lonely. Even her best friends didn’t really care what she wanted. It was a job and they had to make sure things were done a certain way. Cece’s parents were not around much at all. Her little sister, Brenna, and the Nanny, were basically her family. She longed to be let in and allowed to live a real life. Until Greta arrived it was impossible. Greta was shy and didn’t have much confidence in herself until she got the internship at her cousin Cece’s. She had a wonderful loving homelife but not a lot of experience in big city life at all. She had always wanted to meet her cousin and with a job awaiting her she was able to meet and become fast best friends with her. Together they go on an adventure that changes both their lives. They meet Dalton, the “homeless” man that they invite to a formal event. Dalton and Greta had made eye contact earlier and he felt a connection to her. The three of them have a wonderful night with a few hiccups along the way, but it was a night to change so many lives. Cece’s to be able to make decisions on her own. Greta to fall in love and also to be a real friend to Cece, not just a paid employee. Dalton to help so many who were alone with no help and no place to live. This book touches on a subject that is so sadly a part of this country. To many people are without a home, food, medical help or caring friends. There is only so much a shelter can do. But with the right kind of help I believe there could be such a big difference made. With the type of medical and emotional care they can get back confidence they need to move forward. This was such a touching story. I could feel the sadness in the characters. I could feel the happiness and love also. You feel like you are there with them during their outing. The biggest adventure of both Cece and Greta’s lives. You want to be there. To feel the freedom they feel.
This was a very good book. It will touch your heart in ways you may not expect.
I love this author’s work and will be reading more of it. Another bit 5 stars from me.
Thank you to NetGalley, Lake Union and Karen McQuestion for the honor of having an ARC in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. It was wonderful.
