eh it was okay, not my favorite by the author, harlow and conor didn't have much chemistry and a lot of the book dragged on
This was a great little romance story. I liked both Conor and Harlow as characters. They each had such great personalities and their moments together were wonderful. The animosity between them originally was a bit hard to follow, but once we learned why that rift was there everything made sense. I especially liked that once they opened the channels of communication, Conor and Harlow could not seem to keep away from one another. Harlow was a bit too forward for my liking, and I also was not a fan of Conor having hooked up with someone after connecting with Harlow, but that is just my personal taste. I appreciated all the relationships in this book. It was truly a found family. I was extremely happy that the author did not try to force something between Harlow and Landon. Sometimes it is wonderful to just leave friends as friends. Overall this was a sweet and low angst read.

This was a solid four stars. At first, I thought that the dialogue between characters was a little stilted, but her writing quickly became really engaging. I really loved the friends and am excited to see more Holt Hockey. My hockey romance stint continues.
I would give the book 4.5/5 stars. I really enjoyed the whole thing. Every character in the book was really kind, besides Landon in that one scene. But overall I love how Harlow doesn’t push Conor to make amends with his father and brother, and I love how Hugh and Anna both said they made mistakes and acted like mature adults so that hopefully one day Conor could have a relationship with Hugh. I do think Conor has every right to be upset with Hugh, but I think he has to get over it. It happened 20 years ago bro, everyone else has gotten over it hbu. I don’t love Landon shit talking Conor and talking about him like he knows what he is like when he hasn’t ever taken the time to get to know him. I also don’t like how Landon talks about Conor, when Landon doesn’t know anything close to the full story of what happened between his father and Anna. Overall loved the plot, and sometimes a third act break up is needed to show the guy how much he truly loves her.
4.5 out of 5
-this book has been on my TBR on my kindle forever and I am trying to cross off books on my KU so decided to read it
-took a bit to get into but once I started I had trouble putting it down
-it had the perfect amount of hockey/romance
-well worth the read, especially since it’s a college romance
