This was the 2020 Goodreads Choice Awards winner in the Romance category.
Do I consider this romance? No
Do I understand why people voted for it in the romance category? No
Would I understand if it won in another category (fantasy)? No

So yeah, I don't get it.
I didn't like the H, the world building, the writing...
I liked the MC though, and that's the only reason I finished it.

and the twist in the end? I saw it very early on, so ... anyway, first book in 2021
