3.5 ⭐️ I did really enjoy this, especially the first few hundred pages. But then we got to the last 100 pages and everything went downhill for me. Poppy, who i really loved and thought of as a strong female character, ended up being just another naive girl, and Hawke went from being a new potential book boyfriend, to being very annoying. I do think i’ll be reading the sequel, just not anytime soon.

I’m not normally a fan of this writing style, and there were many moments it made me roll my eyes, but I can’t deny that I lost sleep over it because I wanted to know what happened next. The action was exciting and I enjoyed stepping into Poppy’s capable shoes.
