Holy hotness! A second chance romance with the British twin, Dax will have you SWOONING! <3 Their story is one that will have you conflicted in hopes that it will all work out. They just needed to open to their minds and listen to their feelings. There was this one part that even had my heart filled with sooo much more than expected that I could not help re-reading that particular part all over again. ~Cristina, ★★★★✩ 4.5 stars

4 stars (low 4...)

I actually enjoyed this book, despite the predictable story line. The two main characters have met - and slept together - before, and even though they both kinda, sorta fell in love, the 'relationship' ended. Years later, fate will have it that they meet up in a bar, on the other side of the world, and sparks fly.

I'm an absolute sucker for romance like this, and I found Dax to be staggering. I loved the easy book flow, and I finished this in one day.

With that said, I gave it 4 stars, because it wasn't one of those books to rock my world, and change my life forever. Likely, I won't remember it in a few months. But all in all, it was a light, easy, enjoyable read.

Oh how I LOVED this Romeo & Juliet reimagined in a sexy, fun, sweet way. Dax and Remi were perfect together for me. I actually give this 4.5 Stars but it is closer to the 5 Stars mark for GR.

This specific video review will be included in the February 2018 Part 2 wrap-up.

There was so much tension here. And a lot of “will they” or “won’t they” back and forth throughout. It was rather infuriating, but had enough emotion and sexiness to make it all worth it.

Having read Dirty English, I couldn't wait to jump into this book. I loved Declan and Elizabeth, and I wanted to find out about Declan's younger brother.
Dax Blay is a player, but what happened with Remi 3 year's ago changed him. He hasn't been the same since. There's this pull between them.
Remi, can't get over Dax, not after what she went through 3 years ago. She needs someone reliable, safe and dependent. That's Hartford, but he calls off the wedding 2 weeks before.
Remi is heartbroken but never the less goes on her "honey moon" with her best friend Lulu. What better way to forget your ex then partying it up in London.
Remi and Dax have some chance meet ups, but things don't always go to plan. Will they be able to move on from their past?
I thought the story was a bit slow going to start off with. I couldn't really get into it. It was also predictable. But I did really enjoy it.
I love Dax and Remi together, they are this perfect couple. Just as perfect as Declan and Elizabeth.
At the end there was a surprise or two thrown in.
These characters are so easy to fall in love with. Dax is a cheeky character but you can't help but love him.
Remi is a girl after my own heart with her lists and plans. But sometimes you have to throw caution to the wind and just let your hair down for once.
Ilsa has a excellent writing style, it grips you and makes you want to read more. The story flowed really well.
I can't wait to see what else Ilsa will bring.
I hope Spider and Lulu get books. They are some interesting characters!

I was hooked from the first chapters. The characters, the story, the sexual tension, I loved it all and wanted more each time I finished a chapter. It took me one day to finish this book and that's only because I had a few things to do because I feel like I could have read it in a few hours.

I loved all the characters in this book, Remi to Dax, to Lulu to Spider, to Elizabeth to Declan and of course we can't forget Malcolm. All of them together made this story so interesting and I couldn't put down my book.

Of course, the main focus is around Remi and Dax. I don't know how to explain my feelings about these two. I loved the sexual tension between them of course, but I think it was the way they interacted with one another that was so entertaining that captivated me from the beginning.

We can forget that there are some issues and trying to work around those with the heat they both get whenever they are close isn't easy and so much has been left unsaid between them that it can't be solved quickly (which is really good for us readers).

And add a few more obstacles and you got yourself a rollercoaster of feels throughout this book. I wish I could say more but I really want to keep this spoiler free and therefore, I'm keeping this really general.

But I believe you will fall for Remi and Dax's story. You have everything in this book to keep you hooked until the end. Whether they might annoy you will depend on you. I would have slapped them from time to time but only because I adore them and want them to wake up and be happy hahaha

I will also add that I loved reading from both of their point of views because you get both side of the story; making it more complete.

Bottom line, I need more of these British boys. I'm hoping for a new book in this series (though each book can be read as a standalone). I do have someone in mind for the next book and I really hope Ilsa will hear our prayers.

This book can be read as a standalone or you can go and read Dirty English before to read about the other hot British, Declan ;)

I was giving an advanced copy of this book by the author in exchange of an honest review.

Definitely liked Declan's book better because of his character. Dax and Remi were kind of meh. I liked Remi in the beginning as being kind of quirky with the bird thing. But then her character became really weak and whiney. And cheaters are a big no-no for me.

Also this was supposed to be a "retelling" of Romeo and Juliet. which it was not. At all.

Also the bar doesn't let you buy a bottle of tequila to pour yourself. And then let you TAKE THE TEQUILA HOME WITH YOU. what bar does this??

Dax was also kind of weak. He really should have been the one to step up and make a move for Remi, especially after everything she had been through with him. Lame.

Romeo and Juliet

Many one step forward and two steps backwards but eventually Dax and Remi are on the same page and everything falls into place. You will be glad you read the book.

re in the same page.

Okay

Now it was a beautiful book but I just don’t get how it’s a second chance romance. How was Remi in love with him after only three days ? Why did she hate him when they were never in a relationship? Then she gets back with her Ex after what he did. She was annoying sometimes but overall good book.
