Very cute. Will be continuing the series. The interplay between these leads was great, and the conflict you assume will be the issue wasn’t which made it less predictable than I expected. Still fun low stakes, and hallelujah for no third act breakup.

This book was so cute with no third act breakup which if you see my reviews you know I love that shit but the ending was so fast and I didnt like that the love confession was during sex because that feels a little in the moment so I wished there was more of maybe an after sex confession idk but overall it was so cute. He even recognized her problem with him all on his own and made his own declaration to her that he wont ever be that man. AND THAT HE THOUGHT SHE WAS GAY BAHAHAHA!!!

I loved this book! I had just read a rather badly written novel and needed a "palette cleanser", so i hopped on over to KU for this one. There were a lot of things i loved about it and, warning, this review contains some light spoilers.
I think the biggest thing that I liked was that, at the end, it didn't have to come out that they weren't a real couple the whole time? I always hated that part of books similar to this one because it always felt so unnecessary. Like why did you have to tell everyone you were lying? Especially now that you are a legit couple? But this book didn't do that! FMC did end up telling her BFF but, honestly, same.
I liked that the progression of the relationship didn't feel rushed even though we know it only took place over a couple of months.
Something i wasnt a fan of was the fact that she wasnt more concerned with how quickly he went from "fake dating", to "fake engaged", to "fake wedding". Your contract was for fake dating like...you could have stopped him there and the deal would have still went through. Even fake engaged i could understand but a whole ass fake wedding?? That seems a LITTLE too far to take things, just so one guy could win a small town mayoral election.
But hey, who am i.

love love loved it and it got me out of a reading slump
It was cute, but it felt like 2 completely different books. The first half was slow burn, and the second half was nonstop spicy scenes and love proclamations. It went 0 to 100 real quick. I’m not interested in continuing the series.
The banter and the comedic elements were TOP TIER! So fun to read, couldn't put it down!
