3.75 rounded up to 4 for Goodreads. I read Stephanie Archer's Vancouver Storm books first. In fact, I devoured those 3 books in a week and loved them. I don't give 5 stars very easily, and I gave two of the 3 books in that series 5 stars. But this book definitely lacked compared to that. The difference is that the Vancouver books are longer and the relationships/characters/stories are much more developed. But every author has to take a journey through writing, right? And I'm sure if Stephanie Archer hadn't written this, the Vancouver books wouldn't be as good as they are!
I usually can't stand instalove tropes, and this was a bit of instalove, except the two characters knew each other for a bit before this story. So I think that's why I could tolerate it a bit better than if they were two complete strangers who fell this quickly for each other.
I will read the others in this series. But I probably won't rush to get to them. If you're thinking about reading, I definitely recommend Archer's Vancouver Storm series!
