For a finale in th series this was honestly so poorly executed. Caly and Mendax were were barely side characters in this book when they were the main characters for the first 3 books. More than a handful of characters were introduced in a different world than the past 3 books. The majority of the book was in Eli's POV with less than a handful of chapters from Caly's. I'm glad Eli was written in to receive a HEA he deserves it but not crammed into one book that is supposed to be the finale of the entire series. This would have been better if executed as a series duology or a spin off series. There was no closure of Caly and Mendax aside from them basically "living happily ever after". This had the potential to be an epic series and it took a severe nose dove into utter disappointment.

So disappointed. I wanted to love the ending. Why would it not be about Caly and Mendax? I hated Eli from the beginning and despised an entire book about his whining. Two stars instead of one strictly

because of the Caly/Mendax sex scene.
