Well written book, definitely enjoyed trying to price together the mystery of the husband and I thought seeing the great grandson in a world so different and what he himself though about a house so different from his own was a good touch.

Not my usual style of book thoughC and probably wouldn’t bother rereading, not for the fault of the author but more a personal taste.

Very well written though.

I am torn on this one. Child brides who end up living very secluded and strict lives partnered with a present day family member going through withdrawal all set in/near the China Room. I appreciate what the author tried to do (even more so realizing it was based mildly on his own families history), but I didn't feel the two stories came together enough at the end. It was lacking some closure for me. Good or bad, I needed just a few more pages wrap it up.

I loved Mehar's storyline and wish it would have been longer, more detailed, with more explanations, more more more.
I didn't care much for the great grandson's chapters though.
