A fun and wonderful tale.  At times one can begin to see where CS Lewis is taking this whole story as it relates to a faith and philosophy.
medium-paced

The Silver Chair menjadi petualangan yang tokoh utama bukan The Pevensies lagi. Melainkan Eustace dan Jill, menyelamatkan anak dari Raja Caspian.
Sama-sama seru dan menarik, kadang Lucy dan Edmund Pevensie juga menjadi karakter yang masih relevan dan penting.

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.
I would say that the Silver Chair is probably the foremost reason the Narnia books will never be adapted in their entirety, but then I remembered A Horse And His Boy exists-- so instead I'll give the Silver Chair the honor of being the second most irrelevant Narnian book, but it still wins first prize for the most excruciating. I will admit that the other five (barring Last Battle) have fond nostalgic places in my heart, so issues here might carry across and I never noticed, but was Lewis always so mildly sketchy? We are constantly reminded that Jill and Eustace's "mixed" school sucks (ooooh boy) and the actual plot is underwhelming, the scope of it being fairly limited with little of the wonder or majesty of other books in the series. Something cool seems like it might happen (see: underground wonderland) and we don't even go. The snake/witch retroactively makes previous books worse by asserting a whole breed of witches (where are our male villains at Lewis. where are they. why is it all witches) and Eustace is just so much less interesting in this book when he's not going through a redemption plotline, especially one that involves D R A G O N S.
All in all, if you haven't heard of this one, it's probably for a reason.

Puddleglum is great though.

Probably 3.75 or 3.5 // overall I really enjoyed it but I am definitley not the target audience haha. I think I read LWaW when I was young and this makes me want to revisit it. Jill was kinda annoying but Puddleglum had some bars!!!
